Duncan Phyfe Reproduction Dining Table
This is a classic Duncan Phyfe-style drop leaf mahogany dining table. Phyfe was a leading New York cabinet maker in the nineteenth century. His designs have endured the test of time and original pieces command high prices. This reproduction, manufactured by the Robinson Furniture Co. (original tag intact) most likely in the 1950-60’s, can be yours for a fraction of that cost.
It has a beautifully refinished veneer top stained with General Finishes Candelite Gel Stain and topped with three coats of General Finishes Satin Topcoat. The legs are coated in Fusion Mineral Coal Black Paint and a hand rubbed all-natural wax finish that sets off their graceful curves and gold end caps. The single table leaf extension was unfortunately missing when I obtained the table. With the drop leaves extended, however, the table easily seats four, six in a pinch… perfectly sized for eat-in kitchens or apartments.
$225. Cash, Venmo, PayPal accepted
Dimensions: Length 36” x 26 ½” Wide closed, 55 ½” leaves open x 28 ½” High
