I originally donated this restoration last month to a non-profit to help them raise funds through their Silent Auction. Recall the backstory: This inviting solid-wood porch rocking chair has been completely renovated and spray-finished with a striking pop of cranberry cocktail color. Extremely comfortable with an extra-wide seat (see dimensions below). Picture enjoying the changing seasons as you gently rock yourself into a blissful state, while feeling good about helping save a classic chair for future generations.
To restore this beauty, after a good cleaning I stripped off all the old peeling finish, filled all the screw holes, and sanded everything smooth before applying two coats of exterior primer. The bright cranberry color showcases the piece while still complementing almost all architectural styles. The chair has a gentle motion and comfortable proportions, but if you wanted you could easily purchase a ready-made cushion for the seat
